Glass cabochon and Sterling silver pendant

"My Turn on Earth"
I am quite proud of this newest piece. Just finished it today. I have always been fascinated with the cosmos and astronomy...and I have been wanting to make an "Earth" for me to wear somehow. So since I learned to make glass cabochons, I thought that would be the best way to try making some sort of pendant. I have been practicing making one look like the Earth for a little while. It is a tad hard, as the "earth" color is really gold, reacting to silver I have laid down beforehand, so it spreads out on to the glass how it wants, I can try to get it into the general area I want, but it will still spread, so getting it perfect, will never happen. But this is the best one I have made so far. I then set it into a sterling silver setting with a way cool bezel, that actually looks like people holding hands, and holding the Earth up as well. I am keeping this one for me! And I named it "My Turn on Earth' which is a reference to a play/musical I grew up listening to and singing, so this pendant has multiple meanings for me and I will be wearing it a lot!
It measures 25mm in diameter.
I will be making some more pendants this style to sale on my websdite, with my cabochons soon, (not necessarily the Earth) but one of my cabochons set in sterling like this, when I can afford some sterling supplies.
